The Downtown Bellingham Partnership Announces the Fourth Annual Spring Wine Walk

A fan favorite, the 2018 Spring Wine Walk has been expanded to be the biggest yet

Bellingham, Wash. (March 29, 2018) -- The Downtown Bellingham Partnership announced today details of their annual Spring Wine Walk event. A well-known and popular occasion for downtown, the Downtown Bellingham Partnership has expanded the event for its fourth iteration in order to accommodate increased attendance while adding more wineries and locations. This year, attendees will have the opportunity to visit up to 25 participating venues.

“The Wine Walk has really grown since its inception in 2015,” Lindsey Payne Johnstone, events director for the Downtown Bellingham Partnership, said. “Last year, we added our Holiday Wine Walk which was very well attended. Even with two Wine Walk events a year, there was so much interest we expanded the Spring Wine Walk yet again.”

Just like past Wine Walks, attendees will have the opportunity to taste a variety of wines from local and regional wineries while shopping at their favorite downtown stores and discovering new downtown businesses.

“The growth of this event would not be possible without our community partners,” said Payne Johnstone. “We are grateful for our 2018 Title Sponsor, the Community Food Co-op, as well as support from Bank of the Pacific, Greenhouse and Camber.”

The Co-op will be hosting a giveaway at their downtown location on April 24. There will be pre-evening snacks and a raffle for a chance to win two tickets to the Spring Wine Walk.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on April 2 and will be on-going until the day of the event. Tickets are $30. Each attendee will receive 12 tasting tickets, a commemorative tasting cup, a Co-op tote bag, an event guide and a $5 gift certificate from Camber.

In addition to the general tickets, the Partnership announced that they will be offering a VIP ticket option. The VIP option will include everything that the general ticket includes plus three extra tasting tickets, a fast-track registration line, snacks and a bottle of water. VIP tickets will be $45.

“Wine Walk is one of our most popular events and we recommend buying tickets as soon as they go on sale,” Payne Johnstone said. “Our previous three wine walks have completely sold out and this event will likely do the same!”
